Easter Eggs

Last Thursday my sister and Megan came over to dye easter eggs. You have to understand, I have not grown up AT ALL when it comes to holiday traditions. At Christmas we (my brother, sister and now David) still wake up in the middle of the night to check out what Santa brought and there is a whole Christmas morning procedure that must be followed. Easter is much of the same. My parents finally decided we were too old to hide eggs, but they still hide our easter baskets each year. Anyways, dyeing easter eggs is too fun to pass up.

Unfortunately, I messed up the dye somehow. Yeah, I get that it’s easy enough for a kid to do but the dye we had was highly technological and included oil and apparently I shouldn’t have stirred it. Because I did stir it, our eggs ended up without much color.

Dropped my egg and it was one of the few that got some color on it… sad story.

I decided to get creative and dress up the eggs a little more because the color wasn’t working so great. Enter rhinestones!!! My favorite things of all time.

And the finished products…

Rhinestones make everything better!
