Mom Fail

This isn’t my first and I’m sure it won’t be my last…

David was checking out some bike trails and I stayed in the car with Kennedy. Well, she started crying and that turned into a full blown meltdown. I attributed it to the fact she was in the carseat (because that’s what she does in the carseat), but when David got in the car he started laughing. He told me to look at her and this is what I saw…

No, I didn’t dress my daughter like batman’s sidekick…

She knocked her headband down over her eyes and obviously she didn’t like having it there! I should have checked on her when she started crying instead of assuming she just wanted to get out of the carseat.

Interestingly enough, when I moved the headband and she could see again… She stopped crying. Total mom fail!

Iā€™m a twenty-something wannabe city girl living in Tallahassee, FL with my husband and high school sweetheart, David, and our girls, Kennedy and Reese. I'm a financial analyst, much better with numbers than words, but this is my attempt at recording this wonderful, crazy life of ours.

    1. Ha! She scared herself once and flung her blanket over her eyes… Luckily I was watching otherwise I probably would have had to add that to my list of fails šŸ™‚

  1. This is so funny. I know it is a safety thing, but I just don’t like the baby facing backwards. They are so much happier when they can face forward. Love you all.

  2. Oh No, This is too cute, Oh I know she didn’t think it was cute. I had to laugh that you took the time to take the picture before you rescued her. I also did that when my daughter leaned against the screen door and it wasn’t closed tight and she fell with her bum out( she was almost 2) on the step and I ran and grabbed the camera to get a picture, BUT the picture that I thought was so cute when I showed it to others they were like “Wow good mothering skills you have, run and grab a camera while she is stuck in the door”. I look back and feel a little bit guilty but I also probably would not remember it if I didn’t have the photo to remind me of the story. HA HA . She is still alive and well so I guess I did something right… Thanks for sharing.
