Our First Picnic

It’s Columbus Day and I’m hanging out with my baby girl, but I figured I’d post up the pictures we took this weekend at our first picnic. We got a new camera (5DII) and a new lens (35L) so we may have taken more than necessary… or not. Anyways, the weather is pretty amazing around here so we plan to do this A LOT more in the coming weeks.

I’m a twenty-something wannabe city girl living in Tallahassee, FL with my husband and high school sweetheart, David, and our girls, Kennedy and Reese. I'm a financial analyst, much better with numbers than words, but this is my attempt at recording this wonderful, crazy life of ours.

  1. Melissa, These pictures are so cute. She is getting so big. I have to say seeing you and Kennedy laying on the blanket for a picnic and the sun and the green grass makes me wish I was down there not in Vermont where the leaves are now coming off the trees at a fast rate of speed and it has rained for about a week straight. I like how in your photos that you can focus on the person closest to the front and the one in the back is hazy. Have you taaken photography classes or are you just teaching yourself?

    1. The weather is pretty amazing here right now! I haven’t taken any classes other than learning from David… he is a photographer. Some of the pictures he took and others I took.

  2. Hi Honey…I could just look at pictures of you guys all day long! So go ahead and put more and more on you blog. They are great…and she is getting so big, and, if possible, cuter with every picture. Love you all. See you Christmas…the Lord willing.
