2:58pm, yesterday. All the sudden, at 2:58pm, I had a one year old. I’ve watched and waited for the milestones all the while secretly hoping we could skip this one. It came anyways.

May 26, 2012 this tiny person came into my world and in the instant I met her, I knew. I knew nothing would ever be the same, myself included.

This last year has been nothing short of amazing {with a side of every emotion possible thrown in the mix}. The days were slow sometimes, but the weeks were fast and the months were faster.

My first year with my baby girl is over and even if I wanted to, there’s no going back. I took thousands and thousands of pictures to capture it all, but the best moments are in my head… the good stuff that’ll never be forgotten.

I won’t call her a toddler. It doesn’t matter that she’s practically running or that she requires that her banana still have the peel on it in order to eat it. She’s one, but she’s my baby. Forever and always.

  1. AWW, so sweet, it does seem like it went by fast. Happy Birthday Kennedy.
Happy Birth–day Melissa. What a sweet post. These birthdays are always so fun to Celebrate but also bitter sweet.

  2. Happy birthday to your sweet girl! My sweet May 27th baby girl turned 14 years old today! They grow so fast. The days are long but the years are short…oh too short.
