When we found out that we were having another girl I was over the moon excited because I’ve always hoped Kennedy would have a sister. There’s really nothing like it. A built-in playmate, a best friend, someone who lives life right along side you.

As crazy as it’s going to be initially, I can’t wait to be a mommy to sisters. To see them play together, fight with each other, laugh together, and love each other. To watch them build a relationship that will last forever.

When I think about my sister and I, it makes my heart happy to know that Kennedy gets a sister, too.

Now, she just has to show up.

  1. aww I love this 🙂 I agree completely though – your girls are going to have a great relationship! Hopefully Kennedy is as patient with #2 as you were with me! I LOVEE YOU

  2. I love watching my nieces – especially the younger two because they’re only 22 months apart. They have such a special bond – that’s exciting to know your girls probably will too. 🙂

  3. Congratulations! I’m a new follower but I’m so happy to be reading this! My sister is 4 years younger than me and I’ve had a best friend in my life since the day she was born!
(It’s also totally fun to swap clothing in our closets, now that we’re the same size!)

Wishing you all the best 🙂
